Update

The total so far is $1480. That's more than a fourth of what I need to raise. I'm way more confident about this than I was at first, but there are times when it still seems like a lot of money (and it is).

Wow

Well, November's over, and I've raised a grand total of one thousand eighty dollars in under two months. Wow. I can't quite wrap my mind around it. This whole thing has seemed so distant, and in some ways it still does, but God really is making it happen. That's all I can really say. Wow.

Progress

Over the last two weeks, I've made lots of progress signing, sealing, stamping, and sending out lots of letters to teachers and friends back in Texas.

I'm already almost out of supplies, so I ordered another set of prayer cards and letters from Teen Missions. I still have to hand out the letters I've prepared for the rest of my classmates and teachers here in Oregon.

And, most importantly, I've recieved my first donation! This really is going to happen!

Getting Started

Today I handed out the first few sponsor letters. So, now that people have this blog address, I thought I ought to say something here.

First off, for those of you who have the letters, you should have these four things:

The official green & purple letter
My own letter
An envelope
A prayer card with my picture (the one with frighteningly bright colors)

If you're missing any of these (whether it's because I accidentally left something out or because you lost it), please ask me for a replacement.
